Ken worked for Shell from 1974 to 2006 living in the UK, Brunei, Netherlands, Kuwait and Dubai.
He started portrait and life drawing and painting tutored by various artists in Salisbury and Dorset in autumn 2008, undergoing more intensive tuition in portraiture at Sarum Studio, Salisbury with Nick Beer from early 2014.
