Nicky Phillips - Handstitched lampshades

Lamped by Nicky Phillips began from a lifelong love of sewing combined with being drawn to old objects that have been handed down, have a history or story attached.

There is often huge enjoyment in reusing, repurpose and giving ‘old’ things a new lease of life. We were drawn to reusing shades that have been discarded and upcycling old materials. Making lampshades by hand takes time. We use traditional techniques and all our shades are unique and made with care and attention to detail.

We try to be as sustainable as possible, reusing frames and fabric and recycling all our scraps that are too small for other uses.
