Plain Arts Programme For 2021 / 2022
Plain Arts regularly hold creative events and exhibitions throughout the year.

These are held as either ‘Plain Arts Events’ organised and run by our own committee members and dedicated
steering groups, or are creative events held in association with others all within Salisbury & the surrounding area.

Dear Artists,
As you all know, we had to cancel the 'Art Unmasked' at Fisherton Mill 20th February – 20th March 2021.

With the role out of the Covid 19 vaccine programme there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Plain Arts is committed and continuing to plan events as we work through this pandemic with a hope that this, and other exhibitions will still proceed.
Further announcements will be published when available for any re-scheduling.

Rolling programme of exhibiting opportunities at the Salisbury Medical Centre throught the year.
We have now been organising a rolling programme of exhibitions since the centre opened on the Wilton Road 6 years ago.
The Practice has conducted a number of surveys and they have found how valued and appreciated this project is to both the staff and patients.
It's free to exhibit and the wall spaces are excellent for showing your work to a very large audience.
Given the current circumstances and uncertainties the latest information from the Medical Practice indicates that it is unlikely that the next exhibition
will start again this year. However the situation is changing and we will let you know if we hear any further news.

Covoid Placement

As you are aware, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the Art Trail planned for June 2020.
We came to the decision that the best course of action would be to postpone the next Art Trail until 2022 .
The precise dates for this will be circulated in due course although at the moment we have been considering September 2022 as the possible target?
We are of course open to your thoughts and views on this and would welcome any comments or suggestions.
Further announcements will be published when available
for the re-scheduling of the Art Trail.

If you’re concerned that you may be infected with the virus there is a 111 Online Coronavirus Service
which will help you determine whether you need to seek further help. This can be found at: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19

We have been working lately to try to identify potential venues for you to hold workshops,
its an ongoing project but I have listed below a number of venues that we have visited who have
expressed an interest in linking with Plain Arts members for them to provide the space
and facilities for you to hold workshops on their premises.

The Old House Guest House  Wilton Road Salisbury
Very large building in their grounds suitable for workshops or exhibitions

Laverstock Care Home  London Rd Salisbury
Keen for someone to hold paid art workshops for their patients

The Manor Barn, Winterbourne Stoke
Fantastic location, very large country house with great facilities and beautiful grounds.
Very keen to develop art workshops

Wilton Shopping Village
This is a really exciting opportunity that we are currently discussing with the centre.
More info to follow soon

We hope to add to these opportunities as time goes on and will keep you informed.
If you are thinking about holding workshops and looking for a venue please contact us
and we will talk through these current possibilities with you.
